-1789-1801-
Lord Louis and Lady Alice McAlister were expecting their first child, Alice nor the child survived the birth. Unbeknown to Louis a servant Sarah switched the child's corpse with a baby she had found by the river earlier that day.

William grows up in as a poor country noble. Louis couldn't stand the sight of the child he blamed his wife's death for so he had little to do with William in his early years. He shipped him off to his Alice's sister in the countryside.

When he turned 12, his father called him back home taking him to the home of his Aunt Elizabeth and her husband William for whom he was named after. He was betrothed to their daughter and heiress Esther. Their engagement announced on his birthday at a ball his aunt and uncle threw. His father did not attend.

-1802-1804-
Esther and William grew extremely close but it was clear neither really harbored romantic feelings for the other. Esther started having nightmares that she would die. William promised he would protect her from everything. They exchanged gifts for this promise. His mothers wedding band he had carried since he was a boy, for her cameo.

His uncle and Esther start teaching him to read and puberty kicks in. He and Esther start to fight constantly because she found his cracking voice funny.

Just after Esther turned 16, the heel of one of her shoes snapped as she was going down the stairs making her tumble down. William nor Elizabeth could catch the girl in time. She died at the bottom of the steps from a broken neck. She was buried with Alice's ring, and William had her birthday and death date engraved in the back of the Cameo. A reminder of his broken promise.

-1805-1810-
With his aunt and uncle's only child dead they named William their heir. Putting him in the best schools with tutors and introduced him into society.

Stuck in black for a few years for proper mourning rituals William was not allowed to become betrothed or become engaged himself until he would reach 22. He aimed to bring honor to his family named, growing angry that his father had still not been in contact with him.

When he turned 18 his father passed away from suicide. William was more distraught over his father's death than Esther's. He started spending his free time hanging around in brothels and gambling. Spending many nights in the arms of woman his money could buy.

by 20, poor girls and their adventures started to bore him so he broke a rule and started to mess with woman of society. His aunt and uncle turned a blind eye until William messed up. In the summer of 1810 he took a dare and bedded two daughters of a viscount in the same house. He was only caught because one of the girls realized what was up.

He was sentenced to death by firing squad. Disowned before his execution it was another heavy disappointment. His aunt and uncle did not come to see him die. So when he was asked if he had any last words he winked at the girls and their father and said 'It was worth it.'

-1811-1940-
Waking up in a tent with a man he recognized from the stages in London, William began his training as a immortal. The game was just that to him, a game. He used it as ways to get into duels and win and generally be a pain in Caius' ass.

The night before they were to leave for America, William snuck into his family home stealing his two things. Esther's cameo and his father's Dragoon Sword. His aunt saw him and screamed in hysterics thinking him a ghost. Clearly, Caius was thrilled.

In America William started to make investments and took to the new land like a fish to water. He loved America and spending time with his mentor.

The winter of 1880, he finally insulted the wrong man. Another Immortal who decided it was time for his head to come off. He just barely won the fight and finally realized how serious the game was. He slipped away one night while Caius slept. Not wanting to endanger his teacher. He moved out west.

He took to playing the part of a gunfighter and gambler working on building himself a small fortune to live off of. He quickly transformed from Victorian Dandy to Wild west gunslinger. Rising hell and getting chased out of town to town.

As the fun days in the west died out he found himself bored, returning to England for the first time since he left he started settling down a bit to work on that fortune.

-1950's - 1988 -
William met and married Emily Valise, another rich girl in a line of rich girls he had seduced over his years. Only, he feel for her. For once in his life he felt he had found a happy place for him just being calm.

In 1979, another immortal came for him. Out of fear of her finding out he had lied when she already suspected something was wrong he refused the duel... in which his opponent took great exception to it and beheaded his wife instead. Leaving a warning that such attachments would cost him his head. Will never caught his wife's murderer.

In 1988 he entered another duel with a female immortal and nearly got killed himself in the duel, but he managed to behead her and taste the quickening once more.

-1990-2013-
Packing up he returned to America, after over a century he finally crossed paths with Caius again. The two spent many a night laughing and catching up.

Over the next decade or so William would come in and out of Caius' life becoming close to Abigail, who was Caius' new companion. He went the route of a party animal as the new millennium rolled in. Moving in with a couple college kids pretending to be one as well. He kept this act up well into the 2000's

Christmas Eve 2013, after sending gifts to Caius and Abby, he attended a Christmas party with his current group of roommates. They were run off the road on the way home. Everyone in the car died, and the unlucky man in the passenger seat was headless.
